To ensure a focused and respectful learning environment, CSA-Xenia has updated Policy 4440 – Use of Mobile Electronic Devices and Cameras.

Under the new policy, students may not use cell phones or other personal mobile devices during the instructional day. The only exceptions are when use is explicitly allowed by a teacher or administrator for educational purposes or when approved for documented individual needs.

This update reflects our commitment to minimizing distractions, supporting academic engagement, and promoting responsible technology use. Families are encouraged to help reinforce this expectation by reminding students that their phones should remain off and put away during school hours unless an exception applies.

Transportation

Transportation to CSA-Xenia will be provided only if the direct travel time by yellow school bus from the public school building their children would attend to our 855 Lower Bellbrook facility is within 30 minutes. This is not a radius timeframe, but rather a direct travel time consideration. Each residential district makes this decision. Within this parameter, if the residential district chooses NOT to provide the transportation, families will receive reimbursement for transporting their student by filing the proper paperwork at the end of the school year. Each student seeking transportation will need to contact their residential public school district and request transportation services to our school building. Carpooling may be available based on your location. Please contact the Main Office for details.

Student - Parent Handbook

The CSA-Xenia Board of Trustees (School Board) has approved policies related to bullying, attendance, dress code, internet & technology use, mobile phones, student discipline, and other student activities. Be sure to read Section 4 - Student-Parent Handbook of the Policy Manual of the Governing Authority of CSA-Xenia. Here is the entire Policy Manual of CSA-Xenia.

For DROP OFF, ALL students will enter at Door F.

For PICK-UP, all bused students will leave through Door A (Main Entrance). 6th-11th students will exit Door B along the backside of the building. 4th-5th students will leave through Door F once the vehicle identification number has been communicated to the interior staff.
