Admission 2026-27
All incoming 2026-27 students, rising 4th through 9th-grade students, will have equal opportunity to secure a “seat” by starting the Enrollment Process by filling out the 2026-27 Application form. Enrollmnent information is found in the “Admissions” section above. CSA admits students on a rolling basis if seats are available.
Supply Lists
Digital Academy
CSA has recently switched from Final Forms to Digital Academy for its online learning management system (LMS). This educational technology platform replaces several different platforms that has been utilized, including OTUS, Final Forms, MySchool Bucks, Class Dojo, lunch ordering, parent/teacher communication.
Current families of CSA should have received an email the week of June 8 with information on setting up a new account in Digital Academy. If you did not, email info@communitysteam.com to request the information again. New, incoming families will also be receiving an email to set up their account.
Digital Academy is compatible with web browsers.
Please be sure to make any changes to address, emergency contact or other important details for your students in Digital Academy so we have the most up to date information to keep parents informed and students safe.

Community Experts/ Volunteers
As Community Experts, your expertise and support are invaluable in enhancing the learning experiences of our students. To ensure the safety and security of everyone in our school, we kindly ask all volunteers to undergo a background check (fee $6) through the Raptor website before volunteering. This process helps us maintain a safe and secure environment for our students and staff. Thank you for your cooperation and dedication to our school's mission.
After-school Clubs
& Organizations
We are excited to offer the opportunity for students to participate in after-school clubs at Community STEAM Academy. Clubs can include Robotics, Role Playing Games, Creative Arts, Creative Crafters, among others.
Parents and Teachers in Volunteering and Organizing Together (PIVOT) was started in November 2025. This organization, while similiar to a PTO/PTA, was started to help develop the CSA community. If you are interested helping with this impractful organization, please email info@communitysteam.com.

Calendar
The 2026-27 school calendar was approved by the Board, April 7. It can be found at this link 2026-2027 Calendar and Explanations file. The first day of classes is Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026. The last day of school will be Fri., May 28, 2027. The Inaugural Class of 2027 Graduation Day will be Saturday, May 22, 2027.
School Schedule
The daily school day begins at 7:45 am and ends at 2:45 pm. The doors are open for students 30 minutes before (7:15 am) the start of the day. The students are expected to be off school premises 30 minutes after (3:15 pm) the end of the day. A fee for Early Drop-off and Late Pick-up may be possible. Please contact office@communitysteam.com.
Extended Care
Community STEAM Academy evaluates the need for before- and after-school care each year and continues to assess demand throughout the school year. When there is sufficient interest, these services are offered to meet the needs of our families.
Before- and after-school care are available for an additional fee. Families may choose to enroll in both services or select only before-school or after-school care, depending on their needs. Email info@communitysteam.com for additional info.

Internet & Technology Acceptable Use

Internet and technology can greatly supplement the academy’s educational mission. With these opportunities come challenges to use technology in a safe and educational manner. The Internet & Acceptable Use Policy has been adopted to ensure students and staff properly use the school’s technology, which must be signed and returned before receiving a student laptop.
The Technology Use fee of $125 must be paid prior to a student receiving a laptop for school. Payment made be made via Digital Academy, or by sending cash or check to the main office with the student.
To maximize instructional time and ensure devices are available for learning each day, CSA plans to keep student computers at school during the regular school week. Students will only take their devices home when they are needed for scheduled online learning days or when a teacher has assigned work that specifically requires the device outside of school. This approach helps reduce lost or damaged devices, ensures computers are charged and ready for daily instruction, and provides students with consistent access to technology while at school.
College Credit Plus
To ensure a focused and respectful learning environment, CSA-Xenia has updated Policy 4440 – Use of Mobile Electronic Devices and Cameras.
Under this policy, students may not use cell phones or other personal mobile devices during the instructional day. The only exceptions are when use is explicitly allowed by a teacher or administrator for educational purposes or when approved for documented individual needs.
This update reflects our commitment to minimizing distractions, supporting academic engagement, and promoting responsible technology use. Families are encouraged to help reinforce this expectation by reminding students that their phones should remain off and put away during school hours unless an exception applies.

Transportation
Transportation to CSA will be provided only if the direct travel time by yellow school bus from the public school building their children would attend to the 135 E Church street location is within 30 minutes. This can be provided by the student’s home school district, NOT CSA. This is not a radius timeframe, but rather a direct travel time consideration. Each residential district makes this decision.
Within this parameter, if the residential district chooses NOT to provide the transportation, families will receive reimbursement for transporting their student by filing the proper paperwork at the end of the school year with their home district. Each student seeking transportation will need to contact their residential public school district and request transportation services to our school building. Carpooling may be available based on your location. Please contact the Main Office for details.

Drop Off / Pick-Up
The 2026-27 school year drop off and pick up map will be released closer to the beginning of the school year.

The College Credit Plus program is a tuition-free state initiative that allows Ohio students in grades 6-12 earn high school and college credit (up to 30 credit hours/ school year) simultaneously.
CSA-Xenia holds two CCP informational meetings per school year. Students interested in participating in the program must complete an Intent to Participate form by April 1. Interested students will also meet with the school's designated CCP advisor to discuss the program in detail.
