Community STE[A]M Academy - Xenia Recognized as Purple Star School

The Purple Star School Designation is an award given to schools that show a major commitment to students and families connected to the nation’s military.

Military families move often. Changing schools can be tough on kids. A Purple Star school knows how to help these students transition smoothly so they can feel safe, welcome, and ready to learn.

Wright Patterson Military and Family Wellness Center

“The Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) provides programs and services designed to strengthen and support those affiliated with the military. Programs and services include the areas of finance, relocation, transition assistance, employment, personal & family work life, deployment, Exceptional Family Member Program, volunteering, and more.”
“M&FRC services are provided on a walk-in basis, with a few exceptions. Services are available to military personnel and their families and DOD civilians and their families.” - WPMFRC Landing Page

How We Support Our Military Families

As a Purple Star school, we provide dedicated support to help your family feel at home:

  • Dedicated Point of Contact: You have a direct line to our Purple Star Liaison to help with enrollment, registration, and academic tracking.

  • Easier Transitions: We help quickly transfer school records and credits, so your child does not fall behind.

  • Community Resources: We connect you with local military support groups, youth programs, and family readiness networks.

  • Military Recognition: We host special events throughout the year, like Month of the Military Child in April, to honor our students' sacrifices.
