Mr. Hawkins Awarded Prestigious Fellowship

Community STEAM Academy is proud to announce Mr. Scott Hawkins has been selected for a three-year fellowship with the Institute of American Constitutional Thought and Leadership through its Fundamental Principles Initiative. This highly competitive program selected only 30 educators to participate.

As a fellow, Mr. Hawkins will engage in in-depth study of America’s Founding principles, the key 18th- and 19th-century debates that shaped those principles, and how they continue to play a vital role in the formation of informed, engaged citizens today. The fellowship is designed to strengthen educators’ understanding of constitutional thought and civic leadership, enriching classroom instruction and student learning.

This fellowship opportunity aligns with the national America 250 commemoration, which marks the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States and encourages reflection on the nation’s history, ideals, and civic responsibilities.
